Amazon is launching free courses—available on AWS Educate and Skill builder sites—on generative AI as part of its "AI Ready" initiative, aiming to provide essential skills to both young learners and adults (as well as promoting Amazon's own AI products like CodeWhisperer and Bedrock AI app maker).
The program includes eight free courses focusing on AI project management and development and offers non-technical learning about the basics of generative AI and project planning.
P.S. Amazon aims to train 2M people by 2025, building on the 21M already trained in AWS cloud computing.
A new report by Google and Boston Consulting Group reveals the potential of AI to significantly reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 5-10% by 2030, equivalent to the EU's annual emissions.
