TOGETHER WITH ADOBE
AI is rapidly becoming a primary interface between consumers and brands, as shoppers turn to LLMs to research specific products or locate deals.
Recent Adobe data highlights AI’s growing impact across major U.S. industries:
Retail: Between Oct 2024 and May 2026, AI traffic to retail sites (measured by consumers clicking on a link) grew a staggering 1,324%. In May, AI traffic also converted 54% better than non-AI channels like paid search or email. The categories that experienced the most growth included toys, baby and toddler products, apparel, pet products, home & garden and personal care products.
Travel: AI-driven traffic delivered 21% higher engagement in May 2026, with visitors lingering longer and browsing more content on site. Hotels and car rentals were the top categories, with cruise brands only 2% behind car rentals.
Financial Services: In May 2026, AI-referred visitors were 18% less likely to bounce compared to non-AI traffic. The dominant topics included banking recommendations for checking and savings accounts and understanding complex financial topics and products.
AI-powered services are helping consumers shop with greater confidence. As it becomes the new battleground for attention, brands must ensure their products are visible and accurately represented across AI surfaces.
Latest in AI
Nvidia will provide up to $105 billion in financing for a new OpenAI data center in Pike County, Ohio, with SB Energy building and managing the facility through a 20-year lease.
The credit supports an initial 4.25 gigawatts of computing capacity with the option for 3.75 gigawatts more. Nvidia will supply the compute, with capacity expected online in phases starting 2028.
SB Energy and SoftBank will build power sources supporting 10 gigawatts and invest at least $4.2 billion into regional grid infrastructure. Nvidia will invest $1.5 billion in SB Energy.
OpenAI said the data center will support 35,000 construction jobs through 2032 and 2,500 long-term positions. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was an early investor in SB Energy.
The deal marks Nvidia's latest move to support AI infrastructure buildout, though it has raised concerns about circular financing in the AI trade. Last week, Nvidia partnered with six asset managers to deploy $500 billion in third-party capital for datacenter projects. For enterprise leaders, compute access is becoming a strategic differentiator. OpenAI President Greg Brockman put it bluntly: "Compute is really becoming the new oil, the new limited resource of the AI age."
The AI Report Podcast
THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: MARKETING (powered by Upscaile)
HubSpot's marketing team (enterprise SaaS, 8,000+ employees) was stuck in a personalization rut. Years of A/B testing their nurture email flows had plateaued at incremental gains. They rebuilt the entire system using AI to analyze individual user intent from form submissions, website behavior, and content downloads, then match each lead to hyper-specific content recommendations using vector database matching.
Tool used: HubSpot AI + custom vector database -- automated intent prediction and one-to-one content recommendation at scale.
Result: 82% increase in conversion rate. 30% boost in open rates. 50% lift in click-through rates. AI now predicts what each user is trying to accomplish and crafts personalized copy explaining exactly how the recommended content helps their specific goal.
The lesson: The AI wasn't magic in the email copy itself. The breakthrough came from training the model to predict user intent accurately. First attempts focused on making emails sound better and flopped. Real gains came when they refined how AI interprets behavior to guess the job-to-be-done.
Steal this: Pick one nurture sequence this week. Instead of segmenting by persona, map three specific jobs your leads are trying to accomplish based on their content downloads. Rewrite subject lines to address those jobs directly. Track conversion by job type, not persona.

THE POLICY CORNER
UK regulator now required by law to produce AI code of practice — businesses should start compliance mapping now.
The UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) must prepare a statutory Code of Practice on AI and automated decision-making under new regulations that took effect May 12, 2026. Any organization using AI to make or support decisions about people — including tools bought from third parties — falls under this framework if it offers AI-enabled services to UK individuals, regardless of where the company is headquartered. The ICO's draft guidance signals that "meaningful human involvement" means active review before a decision takes effect, not rubber-stamp sign-off.
Deadline: Code expected 2027. Final ICO guidance due this summer. Businesses advised to act now.
Risk: UK GDPR penalties apply — up to £17.5M or 4% of global turnover. ICO flagging recruitment, financial services, and public-facing AI as priority enforcement areas.
Your move: Map every AI and automated decision-making tool across your organization this month, including vendor-supplied systems. If you're using AI for hiring, credit decisions, or customer triage, confirm you can document meaningful human oversight before each decision.

The Money: Neocloud bets accelerate as compute demand outpaces supply
Capital is flooding into AI infrastructure providers that can deliver GPUs faster than hyperscalers. Two rounds this week signal investors believe the compute crunch won't ease anytime soon, with neoclouds and video AI platforms commanding billions to lock in capacity.
Deals to know:
Higgsfield (Series B, $400M at $5.4B) -- AI video platform now working with 390 Fortune 500 companies, hitting $700M annualized revenue. Fresh capital funds compute capacity as video generation demands 60x the processing of text. Investors: DST Global (lead), Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Valor Capital, Tribe Capital
Groq (Growth, $350M at $3.5B) -- Post-Nvidia pivot to neocloud serving 6M developers across 13 data centers. Scaling from 54 MW to 200+ MW by 2027. Investors: Disruptive (lead), Nvidia (planned participation)
Signal: Inference capacity is becoming the bottleneck. Companies that can deliver GPU access at scale are raising at speed, even as questions mount about neocloud profitability.
