Anthropic has confirmed that Claude was used to build military software and support intelligence-gathering operations, including analyzing radars, ranking air-defense targets, and planning electronic warfare missions.
In one documented case, Claude modeled the engagement envelopes of Patriot- and THAAD-class air-defense systems and evaluated targets including radars, command facilities, and missile batteries in a Taiwan scenario.
The company identified instances where actors used Claude to analyze radar systems, rank air-defense targets by priority, and help plan electronic warfare missions for military applications.
Anthropic disclosed these use cases as part of ongoing transparency efforts, though details on who accessed Claude for these purposes and what safeguards were bypassed remain unclear.
This disclosure raises immediate questions about AI safety guardrails and acceptable use policies for foundation models. For enterprise buyers evaluating AI vendors, the news highlights the gap between stated policies and real-world enforcement. CISOs and compliance teams should revisit vendor contracts to understand liability exposure when AI tools are used in ways that conflict with stated terms of service.

Steal this: Pull your last 90 days of IT tickets. Calculate average resolution time for tickets routed through email, Slack, and your legacy ticketing system separately. If one channel takes 2X longer than the others, consolidate everything into your fastest-resolving platform first. Then layer AI on top of that unified workflow—don't automate fragmentation.
TOGETHER WITH ITO.AI
Ito builds your app, runs the flows, and shows what actually broke (with a demo video). 81% of the bugs it catches only exist at runtime.
DoltHub ran it for six weeks on doltgresql: a third of PRs improved before merge, and 60% of runs found a pre-existing bug the diff never touched.

⚡️ Why pay for 4–6 separate AI tools at full price when the AI Executive’s Pass fixes that? Get the pass here.
Meta One starts at $2.99/month for single-app plans and scales to $499/month for enterprise tiers. Individual bundles ($7.99–$19.99/month) unlock more image and video generation with Meta AI, plus Restyle and voice effects on Instagram. Creator and business tiers ($14.99–$499/month) add verified badges, scheduling tools, exportable analytics, and expanded access to Meta Business Agent for 24/7 customer responses.
Why it matters: Meta is monetizing AI compute costs directly while creating a new revenue stream from its 3B+ user base. For businesses already relying on Meta's ecosystem, the pricing signals where the company sees margin—and what free users will eventually lose access
THE MONEY
The largest AI funding events this week signal a strategic pivot: leading players are building vertically, acquiring everything from hardware optics to data center networking rather than licensing external components. As compute costs compress margins, companies controlling more of the stack will capture more of the value.
Deals to know:
OpenAI / Glass Imaging (Acquisition, $300M+) -- AI-native smartphone camera technology from former Apple Portrait Mode engineers. Signals hardware ambitions beyond chatbots. Investors: N/A (acquirer: OpenAI)
Cornelis (Growth, $205M) -- Open-architecture networking fabric that lets GPUs process and transmit simultaneously, targeting Nvidia's walled ecosystem. Already shipping. Investors: IAG Capital Partners
Signal: Capital is flowing to companies unbundling Nvidia's grip on AI infrastructure while frontier labs vertically integrate from silicon to sensors.
