Latest in AI
Meta has announced a multi-year agreement with AMD to power its AI infrastructure with up to 6GW of AMD Instinct GPUs. The partnership is part of Meta's broader "Meta Compute" initiative aimed at scaling infrastructure for what the company calls "personal superintelligence."
Shipments will begin in H2 2026, built on the Helios rack-scale architecture that Meta and AMD co-developed and announced at the Open Compute Project Global Summit.
AMD CEO Lisa Su said the collaboration spans Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs, and AI systems, placing AMD at the center of the global AI buildout and aligning roadmaps across hardware and software.
Zuckerberg called it an important step to diversify compute, expecting AMD to be an important partner for many years to come as Meta scales efficient inference.
This agreement reflects Meta's push to reduce reliance on any single chip supplier while building infrastructure for its next-generation AI ambitions. For AMD, this strengthens its position as a direct competitor to Nvidia in the hyperscaler market. Business leaders should watch how this partnership shapes GPU pricing, availability, and the broader AI compute landscape.
THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: OPERATIONS & IT
A Sweden-based international construction company (operating across Europe, the Nordics, and USA) was drowning in 2,000 support tickets monthly. Their Help Desk team spent most of every workday manually sorting financial, IT, and equipment rental requests across 60 different ticket classes, which delayed resolution and burned hours on low-value admin work.
They deployed custom ML models in ServiceNow to auto-classify and assign incoming tickets, then set the models to retrain daily on new data for continuous accuracy improvement.
Tool used: Custom ML models (built with Google BERT and LightGBM) integrated into ServiceNow via Azure Cloud Services—automated ticket classification and assignment across 60+ categories.
Result: 100% automation of ticket processing. 90% cut in admin effort. MTTR dropped 15%. First-call resolution up 35%. Ticket bouncing down 20%. Classification accuracy climbed from 82% to 96% in 12 months.
The lesson: Automation only scales if the model keeps learning. Daily retraining on fresh ticket data pushed accuracy from decent to near-perfect without manual tuning.
Steal this: Audit your current ticket backlog and identify the top 5 most common request types eating up agent time. Those are your automation targets—start with high-volume, low-complexity tickets to prove ROI fast.

THE POLICY CORNER
Amazon updated its Business Solutions Agreement to regulate automated software and AI agents accessing its marketplace. Any seller or developer using AI tools to manage ads, inventory, orders, or analytics must ensure those agents identify as automated systems, comply with Amazon's new Agent Policy, and stop immediately if Amazon requests it. The policy applies to US, Canada, and Mexico operations, covering everything from order management tools to ad campaign automation.
Deadline: In effect March 4, 2026. Continued platform use after that date equals acceptance.
Your move: Audit your third-party tools this week: FBA reimbursement software, ad managers, inventory trackers. Confirm with each vendor that their systems comply with Amazon's Agent Policy and can prove it.

The Money: Inference chip wars heat up
Two major rounds this week confirm the AI stack is splitting: training budgets stay flat while inference infrastructure draws capital at scale. As enterprises deploy models into production, investors are betting the real margin battle happens after training wraps.
Deals to know:
MatX (Series B, $500M) – LLM inference chip claiming higher throughput and lower latency than Nvidia's GPUs. Manufacturing with TSMC, production ramp late 2026. Investors: Jane Street, Situational Awareness, Spark Capital
SambaNova (Growth, $350M) – SN50 inference chip with Intel multi-year co-selling pact. SoftBank deploying first units in Japan Q3 2026. Investors: Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital, Intel Capital
Signal: Capital is rotating from model builders to inference infrastructure, as the real monetization phase of AI shifts to cost‑efficient deployment at enterprise scale.
