Mindblowing new ChatGPT Agent

🚨 Our Report

OpenAI has launched a new, general-purpose AI agent—”ChatGPT Agent”—to Pro, Plus, and Team users that it says can complete a wide range of tasks on behalf of users, using its own “virtual computer.”

🔓 Key Points

  • ChatGPT Agent—powered by a specialist model—combines the capabilities of Operator, which completes browser-based tasks autonomously, and Deep Research, which collects information from multiple online sources.

  • This means it can do complex things like plan and book a date night by connecting to Google Calendar to see when the user is available, and OpenTable to find and book a restaurant (after asking for permission).

  • ChatGPT Agent scored 41.5% on “Humanity’s Last Exam” (which tests on 100+ subjects), double what o3 and o4-mini models scored, and 27.4% on the hardest math benchmark—FrontierMath (o4-mini got just 6.3%).

🔐 Relevance

According to the 23-member team that built the tool, since ChatGPT Agent has access to “an entire computer” instead of just a web browser, they’ve “enhanced the toolset quite a bit.” And, although they acknowledge that it can be slow to complete tasks, “even if it takes 15 minutes or half an hour, it’s quite a big speed-up compared to how long it would take you to do it.” ChatGPT Agent marks a significant step-up in agentic capability for OpenAI, as it connects to so many everyday apps to complete tasks autonomously, from “planning and buying ingredients to make a Japanese breakfast for four,” to “analyzing three competitors and creating a slide deck.” These kinds of tasks require ChatGPT Agent to parse through websites, plan next steps, and use the appropriate tools to get the job done, which is far more capable than OpenAI’s previous agentic attempts.

How Amazon used AI to cut “last mile” delivery costs

  • Amazon was having issues with the “last-mile” of the supply chain, where goods are taken from distribution centers to customers' doorsteps.

  • Traditional routing methods that couldn't adapt to real-time road conditions, and incorrect addresses and recipient unavailability led to rising costs.

  • They built an AI system that analyzed historical data, travel patterns, and customer preferences to optimize delivery routes and mitigate risks.

  • As a result, Amazon decreased “last-mile” delivery costs, which previously constituted about 41% of total logistics expenses.

FIND OUT MORE

Googling a name can reveal more than expected

Data brokers sell personal info—often for less than a dollar. What’s publicly available:

  • Current & past addresses

  • Mobile numbers (even outdated ones)

  • Family connections

  • Employment history

  • Property records

  • Court documents

This information is bundled and sold to anyone willing to pay. Even ChatGPT can return surprising details when asked about someone with an online presence.

This isn’t paranoia—it’s probability:

  • 1 in 4 Americans experience identity theft

  • $1,100 average loss per incident

  • Over 200 hours to recover

Manually opting out of data brokers is exhausting—195+ forms, 30+ hours, and records often reappear.

Incogni automates the process:

✅ Contacts data brokers

✅ Forces data deletion

✅ Monitors & re-removes data

  1. Chatnode is for building custom, advanced AI chatbots that enhance customer support and user engagement ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Product Hunt)

  2. ListenHub turns any content into realistic podcasts with AI

  3. Wizardly creates AI-powered onboarding for sales reps

  • The US government's landmark deal to supply the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with NVIDIA AI chips (which was made during President Trump’s Middle East tour) has been delayed due to national security concerns.

  • Abu Dhabi-based firm G2 was meant to receive 20% of these AI chips, but US security officials are concerned that China could indirectly access sensitive AI technology through partnerships with G2.

  • As a result, they’re considering changing the deal to exclude G42, which would address security concerns, but may strain relations with the UAE, where G42 plays a central role in the country's AI development strategy.

  • Perplexity announced earlier this week that it had partnered with India’s 2nd-biggest telecom operator—Airtel—to give all of its 360M customers a 12-month Perplexity Pro subscription (worth $200p/m), for nothing.

  • This is part of Perplexity’s global expansion plan, as it’s already secured similar deals with over 25 telecom operators around the world, including SoftBank in Japan and SK Telecom in South Korea.

  • But India presents a mass market for Perplexity to capitalize on and reach its expansion goals: The start-up saw a 600% surge in downloads y/o/y in Q2, equating to 2.8M, beating OpenAI, which saw just a 587% increase.
