At a recent xAI all-hands meeting, Elon Musk outlined plans to build a factory on the moon that would manufacture AI satellites, along with a mass driver (an electromagnetic launcher) to catapult them into orbit. "You have to go to the moon," Musk told staff, according to The New York Times.
Musk said SpaceX has "already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon," claiming it could happen in less than 10 years, while Mars would take "20-plus years."
A mass driver uses electromagnetic force to fling payloads at extreme speeds. The moon's low gravity and lack of atmosphere make it more viable there than on Earth, and the concept has been discussed in space engineering circles for decades.
Musk also hyped X's growth, claiming 600 million monthly users and targeting over one billion daily. Independent estimates put daily users closer to 270 million.
The lunar pitch points to a long-term infrastructure roadmap for xAI, though it remains more vision than executable plan. Building a self-sustaining moon factory would require years of investment, regulatory clearance, and unproven supply chains. For enterprise leaders watching xAI's expansion, this is a reminder that Musk's AI ambitions are tied to capital-intensive bets across SpaceX, Tesla, and X. Near-term execution risk remains high.

“Everyone trying to get better at AI is failing miserably. The irony? The people actually getting better aren't even trying.”
Case Study
Kraken, a crypto exchange, used AI startup Termina to vet its $1.5B NinjaTrader acquisition. This work typically takes a six-person team weeks.
Pattern: AI crunches raw data (financials, ledgers, customer metrics) and generates reports within 24 hours. Humans review findings and ask follow-up questions.
Why it matters: Deal teams move faster without adding headcount, redirecting capacity from manual data assembly to strategic judgment and verification work.
Metric: Termina delivered 10+ full analysis reports during due diligence. Each report took 24 hours versus the weeks a manual review typically requires.
Steal this: Upload financials to an AI tool the night before your next deal review. Let it draft the summary. Spend your team's time checking its work, not building the deck.

The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims.
The disturbing truth?
Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers. Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft.
That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor and follow up automatically, and continue to erase data as new risks appear.

The viral "Will Smith eating spaghetti" prompt has become the benchmark for AI video quality, and the latest version using Kling 3.0 shows just how far the technology has come in three years.
Made by Chinese tech firm Kuaishou Technology, the 2026 version features a photorealistic Will Smith conversing at a dinner table, a dramatic leap from the monstrous, pixelated mess that shocked the internet in 2023.
U.S.-based generators like OpenAI's Sora and Google's Veo 3.1 now refuse the test on copyright grounds, suggesting stricter guardrails on third-party likenesses may soon make this benchmark obsolete.
AI News Story
Gov. Ron DeSantis' push to regulate AI in Florida is hitting roadblocks in the state's own Republican-controlled House. The chamber has yet to take up any of his AI proposals halfway through the 2026 session.
The proposals have advanced in the state Senate but face an uncertain future in the House, where Speaker Daniel Perez has been at odds with the governor since last year. The House version of the AI bill of rights was assigned four committee stops instead of the typical three.
The standoff exposes a broader tension: Florida's GOP lawmakers are caught between a governor pushing for state-level AI guardrails and President Trump's preference for federal top-down rules.
