TOGETHER WITH PROTON
Business email is still where strategy, secrets, and decisions happen. But in a data breach, your office default email won't protect you.
With four in five small businesses suffering a cyberattack, that's a statistic you can't ignore. Because most providers hold your encryption keys, the door is always open to attackers who want access.
It's why Proton Mail uses end-to-end encryption to lock your messages to help government agencies, healthcare providers, media outlets, law firms, and NGOs shield their most sensitive communications.
Your data deserves that level of protection too.
Proton Mail for Business offers:
End-to-end encryption so all emails, attachments, and calendar events are protected against hacks and surveillance.
Zero-access architecture so not even Proton can read your data — you're always in control.
Custom email domains so you can use your own business domain for a professional presence.
Latest in AI
OpenAI has launched the OpenAI Deployment Company, a new business unit designed to help organizations build and deploy AI systems across their most important workflows. The company is backed by $4 billion in initial investment and will embed specialized "Forward Deployed Engineers" directly into enterprises to redesign operations around AI.
As part of the launch, OpenAI has agreed to acquire Tomoro, an applied AI consulting firm, bringing approximately 150 experienced engineers to the Deployment Company from day one.
The deal includes 19 global investment and consulting firms, with TPG leading and Advent, Bain Capital, and Brookfield as co-leads, plus McKinsey, Bain & Company, and Capgemini as investors.
Forward Deployed Engineers will embed inside organizations to identify AI opportunities, connect OpenAI models to existing tools, and build systems designed to scale as new capabilities arrive.
OpenAI is moving from model provider to full-stack enterprise partner. For business leaders evaluating AI adoption, the Deployment Company offers a direct line to OpenAI's frontier research while providing hands-on implementation support. Companies that previously relied on third-party consultants for AI deployment now have an OpenAI-controlled alternative, one that promises systems built for where the technology is headed, not just where it is today.

THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: ECOMMERCE (powered by Upscaile)
Glow Theory (DTC skincare, 28-product Shopify store) had 45,000 Instagram followers and healthy traffic—but a 1.4% conversion rate. Customers wanted help picking products for their skin type, but founder Lena Park couldn't answer every DM. She deployed YOYA AI to act as a personal shopping consultant, trained on her full catalog and ingredient compatibility.
Tool used: YOYA AI -- conversational AI trained on product data to guide shoppers through personalized recommendations and build bundles.
Result: Conversion rate jumped from 1.4% to 3.8% (171% increase). AOV rose 45% ($47 to $68). Monthly revenue climbed from $38K to $72K in 60 days—zero additional ad spend. Returns dropped 50% (8.2% to 4.1%), saving $4,800/month in shipping and restocking costs.
The lesson: Traffic doesn't fix confusion. Glow Theory's visitors needed guidance, not more ads. The AI asked questions (skin type, concerns, current routine), then recommended tailored bundles with explanations. Shoppers bought more and returned less because they got the right products.
Steal this: Pick your three most-asked customer questions this week. Write AI prompts that answer them with product-specific recommendations. Test the responses. If they're solid, embed them as FAQ triggers or chatbot flows. Guide the confused, convert the browsers.

THE POLICY CORNER
Red Hat and Core42 establish sovereign AI infrastructure standards for regulated industries.
Red Hat and Core42 (a G42 company) announced a collaboration to architect sovereign cloud and AI services for UAE public sector, defense, and regulated industries. Organizations using the platform must deploy AI workloads on jurisdictionally compliant infrastructure using Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat AI, with data classification requirements aligned to national standards. The framework applies to government agencies, defense contractors, and regulated entities operating in the UAE, with planned global expansion for other jurisdictions with sovereignty requirements.
Deadline: Rollout begins immediately for UAE deployments. Global expansion timeline not yet disclosed.
Your move: If you deploy AI in regulated environments or work with government clients, review whether your current cloud provider can certify jurisdictional data residency and sovereignty compliance for your specific use case.

The Money: AI infrastructure goes vertical
Two of the largest capital commitments this week didn't fund models or apps — they locked in multi-year compute and power. Smart money sees the bottleneck: not intelligence, but infrastructure to deliver it at scale.
Deals to know:
Anthropic (Compute contract, $1.8B over 7 years) — Locked long-term GPU capacity with Akamai after reporting 80x Q1 growth in revenue and usage. Investors: Akamai shares jumped 25-28% on disclosure.
Nscale (Project financing, $790M) — Scaling AI data center buildout in Narvik, Norway with vertical integration across energy, compute, and software. Investors: ABN AMRO, DNB, Nordea, Eksfin, SEB
Signal: Compute scarcity is forcing frontier labs into multi-year infrastructure commitments. Expect CDN and non-hyperscaler providers to command premium valuations as enterprises diversify away from AWS/Azure/GCP dependence.
