Latest in AI
Biopharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb is deploying Anthropic's Claude across its 30,000+ person workforce for drug discovery, clinical development, and corporate operations, the companies announced Wednesday.
The deal makes Claude the "standard harness" connecting Bristol-Myers's data sources to AI, according to Chief Digital and Technology Officer Greg Meyers.
Bristol-Myers is also using Claude Code to speed up software and AI development, and is evaluating Claude AI agents for research, drug development, and commercial operations.
The partnership deepens Anthropic's life sciences push after its Claude for Life Sciences launch last October, with OpenAI holding competing pharma deals at Moderna and Novo Nordisk.
For enterprise leaders, the move shows AI agents are advancing beyond pilot programs into core pharmaceutical workflows. Bristol-Myers is already using Claude to draft regulatory reports by pulling from trial data and internal documents. As AI companies compete to lock in life sciences clients, expect more announcements tying agentic AI to drug pipelines.
$11,000+ in tools and resources built for executives actually implementing AI — not just reading about it.
Inside: Notion, beehiiv, ListKit, Make.com, Paperform, Intercom, a private GPT training session, and a LinkedIn growth consult.

THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: CUSTOMER SUPPORT (powered by Upscaile)
MFI Medical (Inc. 5000 medical equipment retailer, 45,000 SKUs) faced nearly 5-hour first response times as their product catalog scaled. Pre-sales inquiries for complex medical devices sat unanswered while human agents drowned in technical specifications. They deployed Yuma AI to automate product inquiries, shipment tracking, and availability questions across their 22,000 monthly tickets.
Tool used: Yuma AI -- multichannel support automation that integrates with helpdesks and external systems like NetSuite.
Result: 64% of tickets automated. First response time cut from 4+ hours to under 30 minutes (87% reduction). $30,000 saved annually. Google rating jumped from 3.5 to 4.4 stars.
The lesson: MFI automated complex workflows -- including AI navigating between Oracle NetSuite, spreadsheets, and back to close tickets. Pre-sales automation protected revenue from long wait times.
Steal this: Audit your five most frequent support queries this week. If they're routine (tracking, availability, basic specs), test AI automation on those first. Keep human agents for post-sales complexity.

THE POLICY CORNER
The FTC began enforcing the TAKE IT DOWN Act on May 19, 2026. Any covered platform (social media, messaging, image/video sharing sites) must provide a clear process for people to request removal of intimate photos or videos shared without consent—including deepfakes and AI-generated imagery. Upon receiving a valid request, platforms have 48 hours to remove the content and all known identical copies.
Deadline: In effect now. Civil penalties start at $53,088 per violation.
Your move: Audit your platform's current notice and removal process this week. Ensure it's conspicuous, assigns tracking numbers to requests, and can demonstrate 48-hour compliance. If you don't have documented procedures, implement them immediately—the FTC is actively investigating violations at TakeItDown.ftc.gov.

The Money: AI's power crisis pulls capital upstream
As compute density doubles and data center operators hit grid constraints, investors are shifting capital from model labs to the infrastructure layer. Three of the week's largest rounds targeted power delivery and inference efficiency, not foundation models. The bottleneck has moved from algorithms to electrons.
Deals to know:
DeepInfra (Series B, $107M)-- Inference-focused cloud platform built for high-throughput production workloads. Already deployed Nvidia Blackwell GPUs across eight US data centers, expanding globally. Investors: 500 Global, Georges Harik, Nvidia, Samsung Next, Supermicro
Empower Semiconductor (Acquisition, $1.5B) -- Analog Devices acquired this integrated voltage regulator maker to cut AI system power draw by 20%. Empower's FinFast regulators sit directly beneath accelerators, feeding current vertically rather than routing it sideways. Investors: Fidelity Management & Research, CapitalG, Atreides Management
Signal: Smart money betting AI's constraint shifted from compute to power delivery. Companies solving watt-per-token economics will command premium valuations through 2027.
