Latest in AI
SpaceXAI has launched Grok Bot, a persistent AI agent system that operates like a digital employee rather than a chatbot. Users create Bots with specific roles, grant them access to applications and websites, and delegate work that continues running even when laptops are closed.
Grok Bot gives each agent its own computer environment that can sign into tools, learn workflows through demonstration, and hand off tasks to other Bots without human routing.
Pricing starts at $120 per seat per month for teams through Cursor Premium, or $200 per month for individuals via Cursor Ultra, with SuperGrok Heavy subscribers ($300/month) also receiving access.
Early testers report the system works reliably out of the box, with one user creating researcher, writer and Chief of Staff Bots that coordinated a project autonomously on the first attempt.
This marks a direct challenge to Anthropic's Claude Cowork and OpenAI's ChatGPT Work agents, all racing to own the persistent AI worker category. For enterprise buyers, the decision now shifts from which assistant gives the best answer to which platform can reliably manage fleets of agents performing ongoing work. The $120+ per-seat pricing signals SpaceXAI is betting companies will pay teammate-level costs for teammate-level output.
THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: FINANCE (powered by Upscaile)
Synthesia ($4B AI video platform, Forbes Cloud 100) was drowning in AR email volume while their lean finance team juggled 30-40 customer portals, each with its own login and validation rules. Context lived in three places at once: email, NetSuite, and Salesforce. They deployed Rex to handle end-to-end accounts receivable operations autonomously.
Tool used: Rex -- AI operations partner that runs collections, AR inbox, supplier portals, and reconciliation on top of existing ERP.
Result: 22,000 actions completed autonomously in four months. Team absorbed a doubling of inbound AR email with no added headcount. Rex now retrieves purchase orders worth over $40M from portals including SAP Ariba, Coupa, and Taulia, submitting invoices the moment they're ready.
The lesson: Rex reads, investigates, and proposes action within a minute of email arrival because Synthesia encoded their team's judgment into auditable procedures. The AI learned how Synthesia's team actually works, not just the process on paper.
Steal this: Map one AR workflow where context currently lives across multiple systems. Document the judgment calls your team makes (not just the steps) and identify where portal work eats hours. That's your automation target.
THE POLICY CORNER
FTC proposes regulating "ideological bias" in AI systems as unfair trade practice
The Federal Trade Commission issued a policy statement last month claiming authority to regulate AI systems for ideological bias under Section 5 of the FTC Act, treating political skew as an unfair or deceptive practice. The proposal also asserts federal preemption over state AI laws, including Colorado's AI Act, which requires bias audits before models launch in 2027. The FTC argues consumers expect AI outputs free from ideological manipulation, but doesn't define how it would identify or measure such bias.
Deadline: Open for public comment through March 2027. Final rule timing unknown.
Risk: Enforcement authority unclear but could trigger investigations, consent decrees, or penalties for "ideologically biased" outputs. More immediate: opens door for politically motivated audits and regulatory uncertainty across state lines.
Your move: If your AI product serves regulated industries or makes factual claims in marketing, document your model's training data sources, fine-tuning procedures, and any content moderation policies now. Courts will likely scrutinize this proposal's First Amendment implications, but prepare for the regulatory fight either way.

The Money: AI coding tools create validation gold rush
The explosion of AI-generated code is minting a new category of winners: companies that verify what machines write. As vibe-coding platforms push hundreds of millions of lines into production monthly, investors are racing to back the quality control layer.
Deals to know:
Lovable (Series C, $400M at $13.3B valuation) -- Europe's largest vibe-coding platform hit $500M ARR in June, now hosts 60M projects with 900M monthly visitors. Investors: Menlo Ventures, Scaleup Europe Fund
Blacksmith (Series B, $45M at $550M valuation) -- AI code validation platform grew from 700 to 5,000+ customers in under a year, including Mercury and Expensify. Valuation jumped nearly 10x since Series A. Investors: Peak XV Partners, GV, Y Combinator
