Latest in AI
The Trump administration has imposed export controls on Anthropic's Mythos AI model after concerns emerged that a China-linked group may have accessed the powerful cybersecurity tool. Rather than restrict the model to US citizens only, Anthropic chose to pull Mythos and its consumer version, Fable 5, from the market entirely.
Presidential adviser David Sacks alleges that Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei dismissed a jailbreak vulnerability in Fable 5 as "not a serious risk" and refused to fix it.
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy reportedly contacted the White House about the security flaw, with sources indicating Amazon informed the government before export controls were issued.
Mythos was tightly controlled due to its code-bug-finding abilities. China could pose national security risks if it accessed or reverse-engineered the model.
The White House's action reflects concerns about frontier AI security and foreign access. Adviser David Sacks emphasized the administration values Anthropic's technical capabilities and expects the issue to be easily resolved. For enterprise clients, the temporary unavailability of Mythos and Fable 5 shows how export controls and geopolitical factors can disrupt model access with little warning.
THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: SALES (powered by Upscaile)
Rakuten (global technology conglomerate, 70+ businesses across e-commerce, fintech, travel, and telecom) was facing long feature cycles that slowed revenue experiments and product rollouts. Engineering teams deployed Claude Code and Claude Managed Agents to run autonomous coding sessions and parallel workstreams across large, multi-language repositories.
Tool used: Claude Code -- autonomous AI coding system that can execute multi-hour development tasks across complex enterprise codebases.
Result: Feature delivery time dropped from 24 working days to 5, a 79% reduction. A seven-hour autonomous refactoring run on a 12.5M-line codebase achieved 99.9% accuracy.
The lesson: AI multiplies revenue velocity when teams delegate complete workstreams, not isolated prompts.
Steal this: Identify one revenue-linked feature stuck in backlog. Spin up parallel AI sessions to handle documentation, test generation, and code implementation simultaneously, then review outputs in a single block. Shorten the cycle before adding more headcount.
TOGETHER WITH SEMRUSH
With Semrush One, you can track and grow your visibility across search engines and AI platforms — all in one place.

THE POLICY CORNER
Federal judge bars four attorneys from Mississippi case, issues two-year court ban for AI negligence.
U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock removed counsel from both sides of a contract dispute after discovering they submitted legal filings with AI-generated hallucinations—fabricated quotes and non-existent case citations. The ruling applies to any attorney appearing before Northern District of Mississippi courts who fails to verify AI research before submission. Two out-of-state attorneys lost pro hac vice privileges and face two-year bans from the district. Two Mississippi-based attorneys were fined for failing to review AI-generated content signed under their names.
Deadline: In effect now across all federal districts enforcing AI verification standards.
Your move: If your legal team uses AI for research or drafting, implement a hard stop verification policy this week, such as every citation, case reference, and quote must be manually confirmed before any filing leaves your office.
