The EU Cyber Resilience Act now requires manufacturers of AI-enabled products to report actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe security incidents through a centralized platform. Companies must submit early warning within 24 hours of discovery, full notification within 72 hours, and final reports within 14 days for vulnerabilities or one month for incidents. Applies to any manufacturer whose products with digital elements are sold in EU markets, regardless of where the company is headquartered.

Deadline: In effect now. Enforcement started September 11, 2026.

Risk: Non-compliance triggers market surveillance actions including product recalls, sales bans, and fines up to €15M or 2.5% of global annual turnover. Delayed reporting compounds liability exposure.
