A recent study has revealed that ChatGPT diagnosed over 80% of pediatric case studies incorrectly.
Using 100 case challenges, ChatGPT was tested for its diagnostic capabilities in pediatric medicine & failed more than 80% of the time.
Despite its high error rate, the study sees potential in AI for administrative purposes in healthcare but suggests more selective training for improved accuracy.
This finding contrasts with a previous study where GPT-4 showed better diagnostic performance for patients over 65.
