Latest in AI
Samsung has announced the Galaxy S26 series, its third-generation AI phones, featuring what it calls the "most proactive and adaptive" Galaxy AI to date. The flagship S26 Ultra introduces the world's first built-in Privacy Display for mobile phones, alongside a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with a 39% boost in NPU performance to power always-on AI features.
The S26 series introduces Now Nudge, an AI feature that surfaces contextual suggestions, such as automatically recommending photos from a recent trip when a friend asks for them, reducing the need to search or switch apps.
Samsung has upgraded Bixby as a conversational device agent, enabling users to navigate settings using natural language, and also integrated Gemini and Perplexity as optional AI agents that can handle multi-step tasks like booking a taxi.
The S26 Ultra's Privacy Display controls how pixels disperse light to keep screen content hidden from side viewers while maintaining full viewing quality for the user, with customizable settings for sensitive apps and inputs.
Samsung's push positions Galaxy AI as a background assistant rather than a feature users actively manage. For enterprise buyers, the built-in Privacy Display addresses a long-standing concern around visual hacking in public spaces, and the seven-year security update commitment supports longer device lifecycles. The integration of third-party AI agents like Gemini and Perplexity also shows Samsung hedging its bets across multiple AI ecosystems.
THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: FINANCE
Escalante Golf (U.S. golf course management company) was processing ~8,000 invoices per month manually inside NetSuite. Each invoice took 2.5 minutes to upload and code, consuming over 300 hours monthly and increasing the risk of duplicate or incorrect entries. They implemented AI-powered AP automation directly inside their ERP.
Tool used: ZoneCapture, an AP automation tool for NetSuite that uses OCR and generative AI to extract and code invoice data automatically.
Result: Invoice processing time reduced from 2.5 minutes to 45 seconds per invoice. 70% time savings per month, freeing 200+ hours monthly across the AP team.
The lesson: High-volume finance workflows are prime for AI when embedded directly inside existing ERP systems, not layered on top as another tool.
Steal this: Pull a report of invoices processed last month. Multiply invoice count by average minutes per invoice. If the total exceeds 100 hours, pilot OCR-based invoice capture inside your ERP before adding headcount.

Customer behavior has outpaced traditional measurement — and most attribution models can’t keep up.
Triple Whale’s new guide explores unified measurement: a system combining MMM, multi-touch attribution, and incrementality testing into one continuously calibrated engine.

THE POLICY CORNER
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed SB 53, requiring AI companies to publish security protocols and report critical safety incidents to California's Office of Emergency Services. Covered firms must disclose risk evaluations and detail incidents like cyberattacks or unsafe autonomous system behavior. California's attorney general can pursue civil penalties up to $1 million per violation. Whistleblower protections now extend to employees reporting non-compliance.
Deadline: In effect now. Reporting begins with critical incidents; annual public reports start in 2027.
Your move: If you develop or deploy large-scale AI models, audit your safety documentation and reporting workflows now, particularly incident response protocols. Consult counsel on whether your current systems meet disclosure requirements before the first reporting cycle.
